about

"Ain't No Going Back" is a song that took about four years to finish. Late one night, Jackson was working on the song in the studio when all the sudden a hard drive crashed, leading to many of the recorded instruments in the song being lost. This was a devastating moment. Over the course of four years, Jackson reconstructed the song with the same musicians, until eventually it was revived and complete. This song is about romance; it's a love song about the magic of meeting a partner and persevering in a relationship even when times get rough. Jackson is singing on this song, which is a new development, and a skill that is evolving from his longstanding growth as a rapper and producer.

lyrics

Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want

Astounds me how she found me on some bound to be
We free like I was blind and now I see she's down with me
Change rules everything around me
But we're doubt-free walking through these crowded streets proudly
She's been my lover ever since that summer on the low undercover
Never pressure cuz we get each other
Even when I'm on the road I always trust her
I'm still fascinated and I wonder how we're loving so profoundly
With the system structure and the rapture bout to rupture
Feel the undercurrent of her love releasing when I touch her
She's bringing me back when I'm thinking too much
Never leave em' in the dust offer your trust like nobody does c'mon
Onward and up we traveling coast-to-coast to show the world
We're in a love hypnosis, plus we reach our goals and keep it focused
She's so fly I'm getting braggadocios like
I'm the dopest and your homies no this they're like "ain't no going back now"

Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want

I used to be afraid that I wouldn't be enough
When the going got tough but ain't no going back now
Now I'm giving thanks cuz I know I have the strength
And we're moving at a pace where there ain't no going back now
I used to entertain all these thoughts of giving up
When times got rough and I could man up enough
To work through that stuff but ain't go going back now
Now I'm manning up and I'm understanding love
Is a higher power from above ain't go going back now

Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
Lay your body on me
You can do whatever you want
